Sotiria Museum

Design for Digital Applications

A suite of thirteen digital applications was created to complement the permanent exhibition of the Sotiria Museum, seamlessly integrating interactive media into the museographic narrative. These include video projections, interactive maps, and touch-screen installations that highlight themes such as the history of tuberculosis, the architecture of the Sotiria complex, medical innovations, and the presence of tuberculosis in literature, music, and film. Designed for accessibility and user engagement, the applications encourage exploration, personalization of the visit, and social interaction. By combining archival material, audiovisual content, and playful interpretive tools, the digital layer enriches the visitor’s understanding of both the scientific and the human dimensions of the tuberculosis struggle, while preserving the memory of those who lived, worked, and were treated within Sotiria’s walls.
