Iris Touliatou. Before and After Science

NEON City Project 2024

The exhibition Before and After Science, commissioned by NEON and presented in collaboration with the National Hellenic Research Foundation, invited artist Iris Touliatou to create a site-specific work as part of the City Project 2024 program. The design concept for the exhibition identity and spatial experience was developed to reflect the project’s exploration of the Foundation’s history, infrastructure, and human relations. The exhibition unfolded across outdoor spaces, the main lobby, and the Library of Science, Technology and Culture “K.Th. Dimaras,” creating a layered encounter with both the physical and immaterial structures of the Foundation. The resulting design emphasized clarity, resonance, and accessibility, supporting NEON’s mission to activate public and historical places through contemporary art and foster the interaction of art, society, and the city.
