Mark Hadjipateras. Homeward

Catalogue Design

The artist’s monograph Mark Hadjipateras | Homeward, published by Melissa Publishing House in collaboration with a.antonopoulou.art, was designed to present a comprehensive overview of Hadjipateras prolific career. Tracing his artistic production from the 1970s to the present, the catalogue highlights the diversity of his practice, encompassing painting, sculpture, monotypes, drawings, ceramics, and three-dimensional collages. The design concept emphasized clarity, rhythm, and coherence, creating a visual structure capable of uniting such varied media into a single narrative. Careful sequencing, typography, and image placement were employed to balance scholarly essays with high-quality reproductions, ensuring both accessibility for readers and fidelity to the artist’s vision. Presented at the London Book Fair 2024, the publication not only serves as an authoritative reference but also underscores the international recognition of Hadjipateras’ work, capturing the richness and interconnectedness of his artistic journey.
