The digital applications created for I Think It’s Time to Listen at the Ghika Gallery of the Benaki Museum expanded the exhibition experience through interactive and multimedia tools that brought the composers’ legacies into dialogue with contemporary audiences. Visitors could listen to curated music samples, explore archival recordings, and engage with contextual audiovisual material that illuminated the creative networks among Vamvakaris, Theodorakis, Constantinidis, Mitropoulos, Xenakis, Sicilianos, Xenos, Papaioannou, Skalkottas, Tsitsanis, and Hadjidakis. Digital storytelling features also presented the work of Stavros Xarchakos, offering insights into his creative exchanges with this generation of composers through personal documents and testimonies. Designed to combine accessibility with narrative depth, the applications transformed the exhibition into an immersive cultural experience, highlighting multiple facets of Greek musical heritage.
