I Think It’s Time to Listen

The exhibition I Think It’s Time to Listen at the Ghika Gallery of the Benaki Museum highlighted eleven emblematic Greek composers, Markos Vamvakaris, Mikis Theodorakis, Yannis Constantinidis, Dimitri Mitropoulos, Iannis Xenakis, Yorgo Sicilianos, Alekos Xenos, Yorgos Papaioannou, Nikos Skalkottas, Vassilis Tsitsanis, and Manos Hadjidakis, whose works shaped modern Greek musical identity. The visual identity was developed to capture the spirit of this cultural generation, balancing respect for historical material with a contemporary design language. Typography, color palette, and graphic elements were conceived to unify archival material, manuscripts, photographs, and audiovisual references into a recognizable and cohesive framework, ensuring a strong visual presence across the exhibition’s communication and interpretive elements.
