MOMus Digital Metropolitan Museum

The MOMus Digital Metropolitan Museum is a major initiative of the Metropolitan Organization of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki, created to safeguard cultural heritage and enrich the visitor experience through innovative digital applications. The project featured a diverse range of digital tools, including curated virtual exhibitions, interactive documentaries, educational videos, children’s games, and an in-museum interactive installation. The design concept was developed to define the visual and user experience framework, ensuring clarity, interactivity, and accessibility across all applications. Works from the Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, and the Alex Mylona Museum were made accessible worldwide, creating a multilayered digital ecosystem that connects audiences, researchers, and cultural professionals to MOMus’ rich artistic legacy.
