Tsoukalas Architects. HYGEIA–MITERA Redesign

For the presentation of Tsoukalas Architects redesign of the HYGEIA-MITERA hospital complex, a communication design was developed to convey the project’s vision of unification, sustainability, and healing landscapes. The narrative highlighted key architectural features such as the innovative double-skin facade and the “Hippocrates Walk” botanical park, using clear storytelling and evocative imagery to illustrate how architecture, light, and nature merge into a therapeutic environment. Framed as a pioneering model for hospital design in Greece, the strategy emphasized both the technical innovations, energy efficiency, renewable integration, and sustainable materials, and the human-centered focus on inclusivity, dignity, and wellbeing. This comprehensive approach reinforced Tsoukalas Architects identity as a practice committed to clarity, cultural depth, and forward-looking design.

The exhibitions, the activities, the educational programs and the move of the museum from space to space defined the museum until its installation at its permanent home. Curated by Kassiani Benou, the timeline reintroduces the museum’s past that formed its present. The exhibition incorporates a diverse range of content as it presents its narrative. It is chronologically divided breaking the history into distinct eras, while one looks at where the museum is now and where it started. The graphics support the curatorial approach and provide a visual framework that helps organize the material. Strong typography and discreet diagonal lines are used to establish a cohesive look-and-feel for the exhibition.
